27-Year-Old Reporter Found Dead While Covering Super Bowl in New Orleans—One Year After Wife’s Tragic Death

A devastating tragedy has struck the sports journalism world as 27-year-old Kansas City sports reporter Adan Manzano was found dead in his New Orleans hotel room while covering Super Bowl LIX.

According to Instagram sources, authorities in Kenner, Louisiana, have arrested 48-year-old Danette Colbert in connection with Manzano’s death. She was taken into custody on Thursday evening after being caught using the deceased reporter’s credit card at multiple stores in the New Orleans area.

Security footage, as reported by Daily Mail, showed Colbert with Manzano in the early morning hours before she was seen leaving the hotel.

Manzano was discovered unresponsive in his hotel room on Wednesday afternoon. While no visible signs of trauma were found, investigators have not ruled out the possibility of drugging. Authorities are currently awaiting toxicology results to determine the official cause of death.
