A striking new image from inside the White House has revealed Donald Trump’s mug shot displayed near the portraits of some of the nation’s most notable presidents.
During President Joe Biden’s February 13 meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a photo captured the framed cover of the New York Post featuring Trump’s now-famous mug shot. The image was positioned just outside the Oval Office door, which was left open.
The framed cover, set in an ornate gold frame, was placed near portraits of Founding Father and first U.S. President George Washington, as well as Franklin D. Roosevelt, the only president to serve more than two terms.
Trump made history as the first U.S. president to have a mug shot taken following his indictment related to efforts to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results. Processed at the Fulton County Jail alongside 18 political associates, the image became an iconic symbol among his loyal MAGA supporters, who embraced it as a sign of resilience during his 2024 presidential campaign.
The display of Trump’s mug shot in such a historically significant setting has sparked widespread discussion, raising questions about its intended message.
