Justin Bieber Shuts Down Drug Use Rumors, Focuses on Family and Music

Justin Bieber has addressed concerns about his appearance, denying speculation that he is using drugs after recent public sightings led to fan worries about his health.

Following social media discussions about his tired and gaunt look, the Grammy-winning singer’s representative clarified to TMZ: “The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true.” They emphasized that Bieber is actually “in one of the best places in his life.”

The singer was spotted on a night out with Dave Chappelle at Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood over the weekend

At the moment, Bieber is prioritizing fatherhood, caring for his six-month-old son, Jack Blues, with his wife, Hailey Bieber, while also working on new music.

According to his representative, the past year has been transformative for Bieber, as he distanced himself from friendships and business relationships that no longer aligned with his values. While he remains focused on his marriage, fatherhood, and creative projects, the persistent rumors about his health have been draining. “The reports are exhausting and pitiful,” his rep stated.

At this time, he is focused on 'actively parenting his newborn son' Jack Blues, six months, with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and working on new music

Concerns heightened earlier this month when Bieber was spotted in New York City with red eyes and dark circles. However, sources told TMZ that his appearance was simply the result of a long night in the studio and tending to his restless son.

Bieber has been open about his past struggles with substance abuse. In his 2020 documentary Justin Bieber: Sessions, he revealed that he started using marijuana at 12 or 13 and eventually turned to harder substances, including pills, lean, MDMA, and psychedelic mushrooms. His drug use became so severe that his security team regularly checked his pulse at night.

After reaching a breaking point, Bieber turned to his faith for guidance and committed to sobriety. In 2021, he reflected on how he once used drugs to escape his emotions, despite his success. “I had all this success, but I was still sad and in pain,” he admitted, adding that he struggled with his sense of purpose.

Since then, Bieber has undergone significant personal growth, finding stability in his marriage to Hailey and embracing his new role as a father. The couple, who first met in 2009, rekindled their romance in 2018, got engaged that summer, and married later that year. They welcomed their first child in August 2023.

Now, as he balances family life and music, Bieber is focused on the future, pushing back against false narratives about his well-being.
