If you’re looking to spice things up in the bedroom, there’s a new trend for a popular position you’ve probably never heard of.
There’s truly something for everyone when it comes to time between the sheets.
From the latest trends of ‘hotwifing’, to ‘hamstering’ and ‘shallowing,’ it seems we’re all getting a lot more experimental in the bedroom.
When was the last time you tried something new?
Researchers have been analyzing what the top trends are of 2025 already, and there’s a surprisingly little-heard-of one in the top spot.
The folks behind the niche site FetishFinder have put together a list of the most popular positions.

In second place was the ‘filthy sanchez,’ which the experts say is probably from curiosity about the meme-worthy phrase that took the internet by storm in the early 2000s, rather than anybody actually trying it out.
It saw a 510 percent increase in searches.
The ‘Anvil’ has seen a 275 percent increase.
This one is all about getting deep, with one partner on their back with their legs over their head.
If you’ve been practicing yoga or pilates, this next one might be right up your alley.
The ‘Bridge’ requires strength, stamina and flexibility.
It’s had a 274 percent rise in the number of searches for it, and you might need to practise this one.
It’s fairly self explanatory, with one partner literally bending over backwards into a bridge shape while the other kneels or stands between their legs.

Up 223 percent is the ‘Full Nelson,’ and it’s all about dominance.
One partner is held from behind, while having their arms pinned above them, which is said to increase the intensity for all involved.
If acrobatics are your thing, you might like the delightfully named ‘Piledriver’ or ‘Butter Churner’ positions.
Both are up by 149 percent, and both of them involves one partner lying back with their legs raised toward their head.
The ‘giving’ partner then kneels in front and thrusts, but it takes a lot of skill, balance and confidence as well as trust in your partner.
Have you ever tried the ‘Praying Mantis’? This one has seen a 146 percent rise in popularity.

The ‘Butterfly’ is always a favorite, and has increased by 223 percent in search terms.
It’s much easier than some of the other positions, and is suitable for beginners.
It’s easily adaptable, with one partner lying at the edge of the bed on their back, while the other stands next to the bed.
It’s one of the more intimate positions, allowing for plenty of eye contact.
The ‘Straddle’ is another very popular one that doesn’t really need explaining, but has gone up by 184 percent with people looking for tips.
Taking the top spot is the ‘Bear Hug.’
This one involves having both partners standing vertically and embracing each other.
It had the highest increase in searches, with 623 percent more people looking for it.
It ranks highly for intimacy, ease, and scores on the romance scale too, unlike some of the other positions.
