Tragic reports have confirmed the death of a 30-year-old medical student from the University of Pittsburgh.
Luis Espinoza was last seen walking his dog a few days before his body was discovered. He had been reported missing four days earlier, according to the Pittsburgh Police Department.
While police have not disclosed further details, the County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that his remains were found early in the morning near the 100 Block of Sterling Street, close to South Side Park.
The cause of his death is still under investigation, with more information expected from the medical examiner.
Espinoza, remembered by loved ones as a kind and caring person with a deep passion for helping others, leaves behind grieving family members who are seeking justice and a thorough investigation into his death.
His sister and parents had been in contact with him just days before he disappeared. When they were unable to reach him afterward, his father requested a wellness check, which led to the discovery of his body.
