Trump’s ‘Riviera of the Middle East’ Plan Smacked Down to His Face

President Trump’s vision of creating a “Riviera of the Middle East” has been firmly rejected.

King Abdullah of Jordan made it clear that the Arab world stands united on this issue, with no room for compromise, according to insiders. Jordan remains steadfast in its stance.

While the King acknowledged Trump’s role in promoting unity and stability in the region, he stopped short of endorsing any displacement of Palestinians into Jordan to facilitate U.S. control over the Gaza Strip. He did, however, welcome the idea of Palestine receiving medical aid for sick children.

For weeks, Trump has urged Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Turkey to step in, hoping they would accept Palestinian refugees, allowing the U.S. to take over the Gaza Strip. Jordan outright rejected the proposal, emphasizing that America’s role should focus on rebuilding and humanitarian efforts, rather than territorial ambitions.

Following the meeting, King Abdullah described the discussions as constructive and expressed hope for positive outcomes—but made no further commitments. Meanwhile, an Egyptian representative echoed similar sentiments, stating that Egypt is open to working with Trump for peace, but nothing beyond that.
