Israel Receives Shipment of ‘Heavy Bombs’ Approved by Former President Trump

Israel has confirmed the arrival of a significant shipment of heavy-duty bombs, cleared for delivery by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

A newly surfaced video circulating online appears to show cranes unloading shipping containers—allegedly containing the bombs—onto trucks at Ashdod Port.

Among the weapons received is the MK-84, an unguided 2,000-pound bomb. The Biden administration had previously declined to approve exports of these bombs to Israel, citing concerns over their use in densely populated areas, particularly around Gaza.

During his presidency, Trump initially paused one shipment of these bombs but had previously authorized the transfer of thousands of similar munitions to Israel following Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack. This attack sparked a full-scale conflict with heavy casualties on both sides.

Last month, Trump confirmed that he had lifted the hold on this particular shipment, reiterating that the bombs were purchased by Israel and therefore rightfully belonged to them.

While a ceasefire agreement remains in place, the arrival of these weapons has raised concerns about the potential escalation of hostilities. Some fear that this development could signal a shift in the ongoing conflict.
