Michael Lohan, father of actress Lindsay Lohan, was arrested Friday at his home in Spring, Texas, on a felony assault charge after his estranged wife, Kate Major, accused him of flipping her out of a chair.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, Major, 42, contacted authorities after spotting Lohan, 64, in the parking lot of a medical building. Fearing that he was following her, she called 911, prompting deputies to respond.
During the investigation, Major claimed that Lohan had assaulted her at their residence days earlier, causing her pain and discomfort. She reportedly showed a female deputy visible bruising, leading to Lohan’s arrest at his home without incident.
Authorities confirmed that Lohan faces a Continuous Family Violence charge and is being held on a $30,000 bond.
Lohan and Major, who share two sons—Landon, 12, and Logan, 10—have a long history of legal disputes. The couple married in 2014 but separated in 2018 when Major filed for divorce, citing an “irretrievably broken” marriage and seeking primary custody of their children, along with child support and alimony.
This arrest follows a previous confrontation in June 2023, when the estranged couple was involved in a heated roadside altercation. In a video obtained by TMZ, they were seen arguing in the middle of a Texas road. The dispute reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over Major’s living arrangements, with Lohan claiming she had been staying at his home despite an active protection order against her. No charges were filed at that time.
Michael Lohan, who also shares four children—including Lindsay Lohan, 38—with his ex-wife, Dina Lohan, has not publicly commented on his arrest.
